None of the houses need all electrical equipment switched on all the time. Just take a round of house and switch off all extra appliances. It will not only save your money but also electricity of your country. Or try to install intelligent systems which detect when you need light, air conditioner, heating system of fans etc. if you are using solar panel etc. then try to use maximum equipment in day light time to minimize loss of energy.
9. Turn off the tap
Try to avoid extra usage of water. Fill up buckets and use water form them instead of using from tap, because it may waste some amount of water. In clear days, when there is no dust or chemicals in the air you can save rain water for domestic use. Fill up a cup of water while brushing your teeth so may water not lost. Use water in bucket for bathing, it will also save water.
10. Grow your own
Gardening is a very good hobby that saves your money and gives you pleasure as well. You can grow vegetables or fruits of your choice. It will save you from going to market and will save your time too. You can grow different types of flowers and can gift them to your guests and friends.
